Thanks from the bottom of my heart, soul & gonads to all 150 or so artists, art critics & art lovers who made it to the Grand Opening of our brand new art exhibit at the Speakeasy Gallery, "Democratic Sex." You were all fabulously dressed (patriotic & erotic) and well-behaved (very democratic). Max, Kim, Jolie & the rest of the Bonobo Gang worked their hot little red, white and blue buns off getting the gallery into winning shape, but your appreciation of our new exhibit makes it all worthwhile.

A few highlights of Opening Night: First & foremost, all the fantastic new art gracing our freshly painted walls, curated by the lovely & discerning Kim Mendoza. Splendid works of sculpture, painting, photography, collage and mixed media by Lanning Gold, Andrew Dunbar, Lars Stewart, Jolie Barry, Skee Goodhart, Glenn Campbell, Juliane Backman, Viktor, Ray Cirino, Tony Ward, Frank Rozasy, Tom Zimmerman, Doug Johns, Joseph Franklin, Penny Antine, Onie Montes, Ed Fox, Eban Lehrer, Mike Castro, Andy Brodsky, Rebecca Boyer, Ken Marcus, Ric Dante, Mario Saucedo, Kevin Springer, Ryan McKay, Connor Hunter, Willem de Ridder, Thomas Lane, Gus Mueller, Annie Sprinkle, Maximillian R. Lobkowicz & yours truly, of course.

Plus: FREE ART--10,000 exquisite pages of Erotica Revolutionnaria from Taschen Books (courtesy of Benedikt Taschen himself) strewn around the gallery floor. It was so much fun to watch dozens of well-dressed men & mini-skirted women get down on their hands & knees to scavenge for the free art. Other highlights: Tying Stacy (the Bionic Woman) Rosman to Max's & Jolie's soft shag 12-StepLadder. Wonderful massages given by Christina. Painter Lars Stewart's sexy skimpy flag top. Jolie & Kamala & G-Spot Female Ejaculation Specialist Axel Braun playing on Mario Saucedo's Bondage Cross. The chair installations: Both "Democratic Eames" & Willem de Ridder's "Democratic Chairs." Artist Gus (FlagBoy) Mueller's adorable painted Flag Face. All the great photos by Jolie, Tom Zimmerman & Thomas Lane of Democratic Sex at the Speakeasy. Andrew Dunbar's Elvis. Couples making out & playing sex games surrounded by art that mirrored their actions. Phallic Finger Food & Aphrodisiac Desserts. As she states huffily in her column, Booth Moore didn't care for the pig's feet (it was a joke, Booth! Though Max & Kim do love the stuff), but there were plenty of more conventional munchies, like succulent fresh shrimp, caviar, sun-dried tomatos, bagels & lox, hot wieners & veggies.

Thanks again to our very special sponsors: The Pleasure Chest of West Hollywood, Becherovka Liqueur, Female FYI Magazine, UltraVixen Fashions (yes, my star-spangled patriotic erotic outfit, lovingly described by Booth, was created by Christianna McKnight of UltraVixen, on 1710 N. Wilcox off Hollywood Boulevard just around the corner from Playmates), Kinko's of Downtown LA, Jon D. Garrett for Hair, & The Love Boutique in Santa Monica and in Tarzana. Please patronize these excellent businesses--not just because they're our sponsors, but because they have top-of-the-line products and services--and tell them you heard about them from Dr. Susan Block & the Speakeasy Gallery, & hopefully they'll sponsor our next big show, "Sexual Evolution"!

We also managed to raise some much-needed funds for the bonobos who "make love, not war," using sex to maintain peace, but are nearing extinction in their native habitat of the Congo.
